Well done Gary. Look forward to seeing them as they mature and flower for you.
I wish I had the space to raise from flasks. I do love the challenge of growing young plants on.

Very good Gary, seedlings are a really good way of getting some great plants but you need patience and a certain amount of expertise to raise them from flask...........skills and qualities you obviously have.

I'm just finding it easier to get the plants to adapt to their first environment Terry. Some mature plants I've purchased have took me up to a few years to really settle in. I've got a method I use to deflask and used it everytime and they seem to like it. Feed is very weak, but often and they get plenty of root hormone and kelp treatment. I'm quite looking forward to the new season of plenty of light and heat to see if it steps up a gear. I will admit, you do need patience, but time has flown by. I just want to get the rare ones, randsii, anitum,Chua Hiu Dancer to FS as you don't see many around at the shows.

I have 6 large trays full of the seedlings Chris and they are getting bigger. I have no space now so not sure where to go when they get bigger. I may need to consider selling a few more but would love a bigger greenhouse. Not sure the wife will be letting that happen any time soon :( Would like to consider buying some more rare ones.

Yes, keeping the 'hobby' from infuriating the family is a constant balancing act - esp.while all the plants are inside for the winter. I don't think I can ever hide a tray of seedlings, maybe just the odd YP or two! (Let me know if you do decide to sell any on - I'm still in need of a pure CHDancer, and I've been looking for anitum for ages. Some things are worth risking the wife's fury )

Will keep a KHD & anitum on one side for you. I need to get them to a stage where their strong enough to cope and adapt to a new culture. Hopefully, this may be sometime in the new year. I took over the whole dining room at the beginning with over 40 plants and it was a nightmare having to water them, bringing feed inside, in trays etc. That's when the wife told me she needed the dining area back and the greenhouse was born  A little bonus was within a few months, as the light levels increased 4 fold, half of them bloomed!

Thanks Gary. Definitely up for them whenever you are ready. (I'll start preparing my excuses.)
The greenhouse is a dream of mine for the future, so I'm quite envious! Look forward to seeing a conveyor of blooms from you now.

Unfortunately I'm a little too old to be dabbling with seedlings. What a fantastic job you have done with these Gary ...but there again you were always the No1 for slippers. Hope you have a great holiday time.

Hi Ed,

You also do very well with the slippers Ed and have produced some fantastic blooms. Your culture also seems to bring on this type of genus.
I hope you also have a great christmas and new year.

I will be advertising some seedlings later in the new year when I think some of them are strong enough and the weather is obviously much better and will post here first.

Cheers
