Hi all

I was given a beautiful planter with 2 twin stem mini's in it for my birthday. I've left it alone for a while but I'm going to need to water it imminently. What do you suggest? The planter has no drainage so I'm tempted to pull the little pots out and have them freestanding.

The internet says to water it with ice cubes but this just seems counterintuitive!

Thanks :)

I personally would remove the orchids for watering if they in pots once they have drained, after watering put them back in the decorative pot.

Yes take the plants out of the planter to water them. Ignore the ice cube watering advice it is just a fad started in the USA by a company selling orchids under a Just add Ice label.

Water with either rainwater or tap water, allow to drain completely and then put back into planter if you want to.
