I've recently (a week ago) bought a Pleurothallis picta and a Masdevallia minuta. They are in a terrarium with a mesh lid. I've had some mould problems on the bogwood surface in the last few days, so I have increased ventilation by opening the front doors for a good part of the day and also opening the adjacent window. Despite this the humidity thankfully didn't plummet - min 60% and max 85%. The temperature is not going over 24 degrees, but isn't dropping below 20 degrees. (It only hit 22 degrees max today).

I think they seem to be OK atm, certainly perked up since their arrival. But, they do have a few black spots of one or two leaves. (The M.minuta definitely had a black spot when it arrived). Should I whip those leaves off? I'm hoping the increased ventilation will help with this problem too.

What should I be aiming for to ensure they thrive, or even survive! Newbie in at the deep end
