Smashing plant Ed, I haven't come across this but would buy it if I do.

Is it a more manageable size as the name suggests ?

Hi Ed, what have you got it potted in? Our big renanthera is mounted ( in air mostly) and is a bit of a pain to keep it watered...

thats a lovely Renanthera, Ive got a 20 or so year old Ren.philippinensis or so i was told its about 85cm tall but its never flowered, i was hoping you might give me some tips for success, i dont grow it in a green house but its on a window sill through winter and just put it out in the garden as soon as its warm enough, it looks very healthy but still no flowers, can you help?

Hi Dean. it seems to me you are doing the things I would do. Mine is in a greenhouse where the temp never drops below 13c and rises to whatever the outside weather throws at them. The only thing I could suggest which is different to your culture is try to keep it a little warmer in winter, give it as much heat as you can in summer with plenty of air movement.
just took this pic when I read your post-- it still has around 25 flowers on.
