I live in: United Kingdom (England)
My nearest city or region is: London SW
I have 3 of these on a single mount, two of them produced spikes.
I accidentally broke a spike before the flowers opened leaving a tiny stump
A few days later I did the same to the 2nd. spike, I was b*l?o/o"d&y furious at how careless and stupid I could be
(I'd already knocked the flowering side shoot off my encyclia vitellina, then proceeded to break the top half of the main spike a few weeks earlier)

Fortunately this Comparettia seems to be quite a robust plant as this spike was produced from one of the few remaining nodes on the stump.
The 2nd plant is now producing not 1 but 2 spikes from 2 of the lower nodes so who knows, maybe next year I'll "accidentally" break them again ? :?

Steve
