What a lot of plants and such a huge variety too. Good job you threw away those 70 as I can't see where you would have put them.

It is a good point though that neglect can come by having too many plants to look after. Sometimes a little 'thinning' is necessary for the sake of the whole collection.

It looks a very nice collection indeed, quality and not quantity is the key and something I really need to be strict on and adopt myself.

Some wise words. I also need to be stricter on quality and not quantity.

There's no doubt that Jerry's plants are very good quality, but they are also very expensive. I did have a few plants from him a few years ago and have retained the odd few. However, there are alternative outlets depending on the plants you require, which are also in the UK. I grow mainly paphs and have obtained plants from the UK, Europe, Asia and the US. By far, the best plants for me have been from Sam Tsui @ Orchid Inn. The are very healthy looking plants and competitively priced and he normally visits Europe a couple of times a year. He is due over in the spring and my order will be in again.

Rob,
I got some Cattleya from Jerry last year when he came over for his lecture tour. The plants were good varieties but they were small and quite shrivelled. Four canes on a cattleya for $50!!!
He has just sent me an e-mail saying he is sending a shipment later this year, but i don't think I'll bother.I did get a Darwinara from him which was better value than the cats.
