Elsner list several plants I would like to buy but I am unsure about delivery being too long and plants over-exposed to low temperatures at this time of year. (Faster transport is too expensive) Does anyone have any definite views about this?

You do take a chance.
I had some damage a couple of years ago with seedling phrags.
It may depend on the species.
Thin leaved plants and warm growers may be more problematic,

Thanks David. I think I'll leave it for now.

Don't do it ...wait until the weather gets warmer. My last order from Elsner took over a week to arrive.... fortunately that was in summer.
