Very little work has been done in hybridising in the genus Eulophia. Only 6 hybrids have been registered to date, with 50% registered in 2012/2013.
Eul Michael Tibbs was registered in 1992 by Paphanatics and it is a cross of Eul guineensis and Eul speciosa. The cross of a yellow species with a pink and maroon species has produced what I think is the ideal combination and is very attractive. This spike has 8 flowers an 13 buds.
