What a great shame that some people will do anything to get hold of a rare plant. Stealing it may give them some perverse pleasure but denies everyone else the joy of looking at it. No wonder many known plant habitats are kept secret!

Terry, I would speculate that it was stolen with the intent to resale it. Could have been a well to do collector or breeder, commission this act, or the thief though they could make a good profit and a easy sale of the plant. But this plant is rare and sooner or later it will show up, some one will make a mistake with it.

Human greed, will end the world.
