Pteroceras (Brachypeza) semiteretifolia

I bought the above 2 weeks ago, (and a few others!) there isn't much info on it except it's a recent find in Vietnam.

Lovely! I nearly purchased that a couple of weeks ago, too. I didn't buy from the vendor in the end because they didn't have any form security on their website and they wouldn't take an order via email. I work in IT security, so I'm a stickler for never putting personal info on unsecured sites. What others did you go for?

Hi all. I'm new to the forum. At this point I have around 25 orchids- mostly phals saved from markets with yellow stickers on them. Last trip to Ikea and we have new miniature phal, miltonia and Dendrobium Phalaenopsis in purple.Few days ago I've ordered 6 new babies from Ebay and waiting for they arrival from Malaysia: Brassidium shooting star,Brassolaeliocattleya chunyeah 'good life', Rhynchostylis gigantea 'Spots',Aerides lawrenciae, miltassia shelob, Potinara anchung yoyo, Cattleytonia peggy san. They all are seedlings and I'm hoping to see them safe and sound.

I'd be very wary of ordering plants from outside the EU zone. Hope all your plants arrive safely MiaR, let us know when you eventually get them.

Hi Orchid Molly and phraggy
I'll let you know as soon I'll get them. Sellers feedbacks are good , so hopefully will get them safe and sound. Next step will be Orchid producer from Poland as I'll be there at the end of October. They have nice selection and prices are good too. Hoping to find blue Vanda but they are rather expensive.

My daughter and I visited the Bournemouth Orchid Society Show today. Burnham has a stand there, as well as others, and we were spoiled for choice. (Not been to a show before).

So, we decided to have a bit of fun and went for Burnham's five little plants for £20 offer. (Three in 6cm pots and two in 8cm pots). I have no idea what they are like or need, yet, but hopefully we will have fun learning. :)

This is what we bought (plus label info):

Camaridium meleagris – (6cm pot), C. America, min 12C, pinkish brown spotted with maroon.
Promenaea crawshayana – (6cm pot), Miniature, min 12C, yellow specked flower. Keep shady and not too wet.
Brassia Mem (Bert Field x Brassia Rex) – (8cm pot)
Coelogyne fimbriata – (8cm pot), Thailand, Cool min 10C, yellow flowers with brown lips.
Cattleya tenebrosa – (6cm pot), Brazil, Min 12C, Showy bronze flowers, lip purple

Encyclia Citrina from eBay. It's on it's way and i really hope it won't get lost as I paid big money for it. I also got two Dendrobium Phal orchids. One is Blue Happiness and the other one Banana Chocolate I think. They are on their way too.

You must visit the international show at Malvern next June -- it'll blow your mind--the finest and largest show in the UK.

Today I came back from garden center with Cambria 'Tropical Jungle' and Miltonia 'Herr Alexander'. Both 50% off the price cos most of th flowers already drop off but condition is good, so hopefully they will get in bloom soon.
