HI biohazrd156. I expect that the orchids you purchased from Elsner are very nice but how about the ones from Popow --- I wasn't particularly pleased when I received a high price delivery from them.

Hi Ed,

Was a first time ordering from both and was overall pleased with all the plants thought all of them needed a good hosing down when I got them, but I suppose for the types I bought, being dryer is better than sitting sopping wet!

From Popow I got the Den. trantuanii which is in good condition (a very decent sized plant for the money!)and the Encyclia mariae which is ok, not great roots but not a bad plant overall I don't think. His wasn't too expensive an order so think they were worth the money.

I don't know how much I'd trust paying for the likes of his kovachii etc but then, I think for those types I'd rather see them in person first! I bought them from his eBay shop so knew what the plants looked like at least before committing.

What did you get from him? Are they ok?

Anna

Hi, Just a single, Pleurothallis restrepioides,
plus a Asplenium nidus fern (epiphytic) so thought I'd mention it. :)

Two Masdevallias to go in my highland terrarium. They're first things to go in. Neps/Heliamphora soon.

Finally bit the bullet and picked up 3 Phrag kovachii seedlings. Fingers are tied in knots in the hope they survive...

The last three are from abroad (within the EU), while the rest has been bought from my favourite nursery. Can't wait to get them! :jumpy:

Would you be able to say where you got your Orchids from? what is your favourite orchid nursery? I am a newbie and am looking for good nurseries to but from.

Yukster you are unlikely to get a reply from Kusuri as he has not been active here for quite a while.
