Sadly the lighting in my houses comes in 3 types
1) Too bright - a Catelya in east facing my bedroom got sunburned today. I only bought it in April so it was a shock. (It is a loft conversion so the light is quite bright).
2) Too dark
3) Just right but there are no shelves there so my wife won't let me put shelves there so I will never know.

Therefore I have 3 choices
For 1) Net curtain or x to reduce the light Artificial lighting
For 2) Artificial lighting to increase the light. I can't see any easy and cheaper solutions for this.
3) I love her so divorce is not an option.

What is the easiest option? Can anyone think of anything to do the role of x
