As you know from my other thread, I've just put a humidifier in my grow tent and also moved the electrics inside albeit in a weather proof box. I just wondered if my light unit, fan, humidifier and heater mat and controller are all ok in the increased fog. RH is now a constant 70%. And the plants are loving it.There is some condensation on the housing to the lighting unit and I know that water and electrics generally don't mix. Funnily enough my max/min hygrometer has just decided to stop working and wondered if this is also caused by the increased humidity. Although as it is supposed to measure humidity I'd have thought that it should function so this may just be coincidence.

Is the condensation inside the lighting unit? Is the light unit IP rated?

No only on the outside. I'm trying to find the IP rating, I've tried to Google for it but not much information and it appears that it's not something that is mentioned. A couple of threads seem to indicate anything from 44 to 65 so think it might be a phone call. Nothing mentioned in the destruction either.
