Hello,

I am a relative newbie to growing orchids. I have several shop / garden centre bought orchids that seem to be flourishing (mostly phalaenopsysis) on windowsills.

However, a home project for my children on ecosystems is about to throw me in at the deep end with the imminent arrival of two south american (Guyanese) cloud forest orchids (grown in the EU). (The fact that my children's terrarium idea turned out to be orchid heavy is purely coincidental ;) ).

I have a steep learning curve and will doubtless be posting again very soon.

Looking forward to joining in and learning lots. :)

Welcome from the OCRC in China, and what a good way to get your kids started in orchids.

Thanks for the welcome. :)

I shall post pics of the terrarium once the new orchids arrive. The air plants arrived today. A couple of bromelaids are also on the way. I'm already thinking I need a bigger tank  .
