Hello, I'm a newbie from the midlands. I've recently become obsessed by Orchids after my mother-in-law bought me a Phal as a moving in present. That was a few months ago and now I have 5 Phals and a Dendrobium :D I have taken to rescuing Orchids from the 'reduced' section at the local Supermarket and have had some really gods success stories. Ive added some pictures of my favourite Orchid.

And yet another Welcome from me......
I find the DIY stores (Homebase for me) have the most regularly reduced orchids: phals, cymbidium, cambria and dendrobiums.
There's many a bargain to be had if you know where to look, and nothing better than to see them bought back to life and flowering from the over/under watered, half-dead specimen in the store.

Hi all,

Thank you for the warm welcome.

Ive managed to purchase another 2 Orchids this weekend that were on sale - I think I have a problem

I'm after some advise on greenhouses and Orchids - I'll go find the appropriate board.

Thanks again :-)

Hi Zopoll,
I started like you (buying from sales), slowly my collection has grown up to 69 orchids now.
Best of luck to you. I enjoy the flowers and growing them. Every spike make me feel great.
