I know that Burnham Nurseries do make some specific pots, but what is wrong with standard terracotta. I use them as my preferred pot because I grow Odontoglossums and the pots breathe and hold dampness when I mist so keep the roots cool during Summer. They are more stable too, and slugs don't like climbing them.

I had no idea! I hate snails in the greenhouse attacking other plants. Maybe clay would help....

I never drill additional holes in my pots. If you get your mix open enough and drainage at the bottom I find there is no need for extra holes.
What I do when I buy new pots is soak them in a mild bleach solution for 24 hours before use to get rid of the strange clay additives they use these days. Old pots don't have that problem.

Hi,
I suggest an orchid terracota pots supplier... myself. If that is fine with the forum.
When I realized I could not find the terracotta pots I dreamed for my orchids I decided to do something about it.
That's how my lifetime journey with pottery begun.
Hope you like my work.
You can see it here: Ceramica Marathon

A ring of copper tape, rapped around the pot and bench legs, works well.
